Diagiar is a complementary feed indicated in Giardia infections. This causes alterations in intestinal function and can cause diarrhea. A concomitant treatment with prebiotics and probiotics, through the intake of LactoAdapt, is appropriate as it helps to restore physiological intestinal functions.
+ Why does my dog continue to be positive for giardia?
We want to emphasize that this is not drug resistance, but a phenomenon of continuous reinfection from the environment, since Giardia does not induce permanent immunity.
One of the most important concepts in the case of Giardia is that the protozoan lives as an opportunist in the patient’s intestine and therefore, its natural habitat is coexistence with the intestinal bacterial flora.
+Is DiaGiar® recommended for use after the diagnosis of Giardiasis and to be associated with treatment with the pharmacological therapy prescribed by the veterinarian?
DiaGiar is indicated in association with the drug (administered following indication from the veterinarian) until the positivity to giardiasis disappears. In case of use without drug, the therapy will be longer, but always until the positivity disappears. As prevention, it is advisable to administer it cyclically, especially in areas with a high presence of giardia and in the spring-summer periods.

We’ve been using Dogoteka products for quite some time now.
Six months ago we had a terrifying diagnosis at the veterinary clinic for our dog – giardiasis.We started veterinary treatment, which did not bring intended results. We have also introduced human medicines – unfortunately, the problem has not been solved. Each time, the results showed the presence of a parasite.
The only product that was able to solve the problem was DiaGiar cured Giardia canis infection at 100%, as confirmed by laboratory tests.
