Problems with the locomotor system in Great Dane can occur at any stage of development, not only during the period of intense growth. In our female Estrella, after her first heat appeared so called rambling lameness, very difficult to diagnose. We have used several popular support products, but their effects have been moderately satisfying.

Even the lameness has subsided over time, the “tied” movement of the female in my opinion was not nice to see. When, at the age of 16 months after another heat, the whole situation repeated, we started using ProArtLeg Maxy. The effects were amazing! After 4 days of administration, the lameness disappeared and after a few weeks the movement became more harmonious and loose, and there was also a significant increase in muscle mass. In the meantime another female arrived at our house. In order to avoid similar problems and more easily pass this extremely challenging period of growth, we introduced the ProArtLeg junior from the twelfth week as a prevention. Of course we did not lose the growth problems typical of the breed and there was some minor injury, but this does not surprise anyone who has more than one dog at home … After two months of ProArtLeg Junior administration we changed to ProArtLeg Maxy . In our females the functionality of the joints has improved and the ligaments and tendons have strengthened, the back is straightened and the feet have become strong and compact. I must say that I was not particularly convinced of the effectiveness of the products and frankly I did not expect any special effect. After all, there are many products for growth on the market and every manufacturer is convincing us that his one is the best. From the point of view of time is the richest for my experience, without a doubt I can recommend ProArtLeg products. In my opinion they are currently the best supplements on the market for large and giant breeds and can be a significant support for breeders and owners of Great Danes.
